Start an extraction

Open Rates Assistant from the TravelDB navigation. The first page shows the Rates Store for new extractions, an upload form, and your recent uploads.

The configured Rates Store is shown beside the Rates Assistant heading. It determines where new extractions will publish; an existing extraction keeps the destination it started with.

If no destination is ready, an organisation owner can connect Tourplan in Settings.

One document can contain rates for more than one supplier. Use the displayed supplier search to select every supplier you expect TravelDB to extract. Supplier lookup and creation rules depend on the selected Rates Store; its guide explains the exact behaviour.

Choose a PDF or image no larger than 25 MiB, check the selected supplier chips, then choose Extract rates.

TravelDB first reads the document and extracts only its structure. Keep the page open or return to the job from Recent uploads later. The status changes to Structure review when it is ready.

Optional: review the source before extraction

Section titled “Optional: review the source before extraction”

Choose Select and review source content before extraction to prepare a separate selection for each supplier. You can describe a narrower request in What should be extracted?, such as transfers serving a particular reserve. Leave it blank to include all relevant content for the suppliers you selected. This option adds a source-review step before structure extraction.

At Source review, compare Included, Excluded, and Full document. Check supporting conditions, validity dates and fees as well as prices. Excluded content will not be used for extraction. Shared headings and table headers may appear in both views for context.

Edit the instruction and choose Reselect source if needed. Once every supplier has relevant content, choose Confirm source & extract structure. Structure and pricing then use that same selection.

You can reopen Source selection during structure or pricing review. Reselecting replaces the job’s unpublished drafts and saved edits, while reusing the original transcription. It applies to all suppliers on the job. After publication has been attempted, start another upload to extract a different scope.

If selection fails or finds no relevant content, it does not proceed automatically with the full document. Refine the request and reselect. Very large documents may currently exceed the source-selection limit; large-document support is still being extended.
